The Dollar index traded to August lows of 94.45 early in the N.Y. session, though managed modest gains following the strong U.S. consumer confidence report, which came in at a 17-year high, later topping over 94.65. EUR-USD ranged between 1.1734 and 1.1695, as USD-JPY bottomed at 110.96, later recovering over 111.20. USD-CAD printed two-plus month lows of 1.2888 on hopes for a trade agreement. The air got to thin for Cable over the 1.2900 level, with that pairing later falling back into 1.2870.
